General Hospital Fan Fiction Message Board

Skye pulls her hand out of her pocket to check her watch. It’s entirely possible that Twink got in the middle of something and forgot they were going to meet. It wouldn’t be the first time. But normally if Twink is going to miss an appointment then she’d be in the house and up in her room in some project. Twink had sent her an email early to let her know that they’d meet after she and Narin went to work out. They had an early Saturday appointment with some shelter kids. Skye more than understands the priority there. She isn’t really that late. So Skye reaches into her purse to grab her phone. She dials a number and it rings a number of times before going to voice mail. Skye leaves a message and then thinking about it again re-calls Twink. This time the phone is picked up.

“Hello?”

That doesn’t sound like Twink. Skye double checks the number she dialed. “Who are you? Why are you answering my niece’s phone?”

The phone according to the caller ID is Aunt Skye with a New York prefix. “Chris Holmes. The agent decides to try something to hopefully keep the lid on things until they had some more information. “I’m a friend of Grant’s.”

“Good for you. Where is my niece and why do you have her phone?! I am at her house right now waiting for her. So help me if you idiots at homeland security have detained her again…” Skye sees a patrol car slowing with the lights going in front of her, in front of Twink’s brownstone. “What is going on? Where is my niece?! Why are the police here?”

“Could you at least tell me your name?”

“Skye Radcliffe. I’m Twink’s aunt. What is going on?!”

“We think that your niece and her body guard were attacked when they came out of the gym this morning. Narin is on the way to the hospital but they took Twink with them. I’m at the gym looking for clues. Grant is with Narin. And the police that are arriving are going to want to check her house to make sure that she isn’t there.”

“Narin would have told them.”

“Narin is probably going to go straight to surgery when he arrives to the hospital. He wasn’t in any condition to do much talking.”

“Where did they take Narin?” Skye demands.

Holmes gives her the name of the hospital.

Skye hangs up on him and makes another call. “Robert? It’s Skye. I’m in Boston.”

“Skye! Good to hear from you. Colby will be thrilled. She didn’t say anything about you coming to Boston.”

“It wasn’t a planned trip. I was just coming down to see Bill. He’s at Emerson now.”

“I can remember when that kid was wearing coveralls and following Cole around like a little duckling. Time flies.”

“Yeah, he’s all grown up now.” Skye says wryly. “Robert, I hate to do this but I’m actually calling because my niece’s bodyguard is on the way to your hospital if he hasn’t arrived already. I’m on my way.”

“Twink? Are you talking about Narin?”

“Yeah, how did you know?”

“She and Lurch do volunteer work here at the hospital now and then. She and Trav keep in pretty good contact. Narin’s been injured?”

“In an attack on Twink, I just heard about it from the police. I have no idea what happened but he was very sure that Narin would be on his way to surgery.”

“Let me find out what I can. If it’s a surgical issue there will be a family room. I’ll meet you there.”

“Thanks Robert.” Skye looks at her phone. Her first instinct is to call Cole, call AJ, but that is warring with the fact that she really doesn’t know anything yet. She puts the phone in her coat pocket and looks up. There is a police officer standing there with his thumbs hooked into his utility belt.

“Mrs. Radcliffe?”

“Are you here to take me to the hospital?”
“Actually we were hoping you could open your niece’s house for us.”

“If I had the key do you think I would have been waiting out here in the cold? I probably have no right to tell you to do or not do anything but as far as I’m concerned. As far as my brother would be concerned—you can do anything you want as long as you get my niece back. If you think there is a clue in there?” Skye picks up a rock and throws it through the front window. “There. I think someone might have tried to break into my niece’s house. Could you check it for me?”

“We’d be happy to, Ma’am.”

“I’m going to the hospital if you want to write me a ticket later.” Skye moves to the street grateful for once that Twink lives close to a commercial district as she raises a hand at the side of the road to get the attention of a cab. “Taxi!” As the car pulls to the curb, she opens the back door and climbs in and names off the hospital. Once seated she pulls out her cell phone again. “Mona? It’s Skye. You’re going to need to wake Mouse up for this one. Narin’s in the hospital and Twink is missing. That’s all I know. I’m on the way to the hospital now. I’ve called my sister Colby’s husband. Her husband and son work at that hospital so hopefully I’ll have more of an idea once I get there. It all happened by Twink’s gym. I don’t know? Maybe within the last hour? I’m going to have to call AJ but I want to have something to tell him.

Have to work today, so no more will be posted tonight but the slam continues thru the weekend. Deb.
