Chandy doesn’t tan so putting on the suntan lotion is particularly important and something he didn’t mind doing. This has been a nice break for them and the band. A break from the weather back in Boston and frankly he and Chandy had spent too many holidays to not enjoy this one while it lasts. Anders massages the lotion into Chandy’s back, shoulders and legs enjoying the feel of her skin under his hands. When the steward clears his throat for the second time Anders figures out that it’s meant for him. He looks up. “Yeah?”

“You have a call, sir. Mouse is calling from The States and said he’d wait.”

Anders brow goes up at that and he says quickly. “Sorry, Red. I’m going to see what’s up.”

“Anything longer than a long weekend.” Chandy sighs. “He’s been restrained… you’ve actually been out here for a couple of weeks.”

“Yeah, but if he’s going to hold, then something is up.” Anders nods at the steward and follows him to the communications desk.

“Here he is, sir.” The person at the desk steps away from a video monitor.

Anders takes a seat.

“Clear the room.” Mouse tells him.

Anders looks up at the staff who’d heard the order as well and are already moving to the door and closing it. “Room is clear. What’s up, Mouse? Is Baby okay?”

“Her stress level is about to hit the redzone. Get with Ari, tell him you need first available out of there and to Boston. If you have to charter a jet then charter a ****ing jet. You’re going to have company but keep it to a minimum. I should have more information in thirty minutes. That call is going to be you, AJ and Lydia.”

“Twink? Something happened to Twink?”

“Pack light, hell don’t pack at all just grab your passport and get the ****ing flight plans made because two minutes after that meeting starts, Lydia is going to be on her way here if she has to swim. Tori is going to be over her head on this.”

“Yuri?”

“He’s my next call. He’s going to be there before you will. No doubt. But if they haven’t found her by the time you get there…then Boston is going to be crawling with CSMC. As many of them have bets on Twink graduating everybody feels like they have a dog in this fight. And I don’t want them tripping on each other.”

“Have Mona and Bruno ready to go in LA if they aren’t already on their way.”

“I’ll handle North America. You get Australia taken care of.” Mouse doesn’t waste time saying bye but rather closes the connection.

Anders comes out of the room and sees the staff loitering waiting for the next direction. “I need to speak to Ari.”

“This way, sir.” With the urgency with which the conversations had gone the staff member knows that something is up so there isn’t any lingering as they make their way to Ari’s office.

Anders goes in and closes the door on the staff member. “I’ve been notified of a developing situation. In about thirty minutes , Mouse is going to want to talk to AJ and Lydia about a situation in Boston.”

Ari’s feet hit the ground flatly. “Miss Twink? Why didn’t Narin call?”

“If she’s missing do you think he’d still be standing? Right now I know two things. Mouse says that Lydia is going to want to be on a plane within two minutes of that phone call. And Mouse is calling in the Courtland Street kidnapping specialist.”

“Bogdonov.” Ari nods. “I’ll make some calls. You get packed. It’s your turf; they’re going to need you there.”

Anders is moving at a fast jog up the corridors. He’s a guy and hadn’t really packed more than an overnight bag and a garment bag. He hits the showers rather than packing. All he’s going to need is going to be his passport and ID. Everything else he needed was back in Boston.

Chandy comes into the stateroom while Anders is in the shower. She sees that his overnight bag is out and curses. She knows he’s been recalled and starts packing for him.

Anders comes out of the bathroom already changed into travel clothes. He comes over to Chandy and gives her a back hug. “It’s about to hit the fan in Boston. Mouse was just giving me a heads up.” He rocks with her side to side slowly. “I need you to get Mayday and CrossWind and go out on tour. Don’t let anything mess with the tour. I need you to stay away from Boston, hell North America, until I give you the all clear to come back and to keep the guys away from there too.”

Chandy turns around in his embrace and wraps her hands around his waist. She studies his face and eyes. “She isn’t going to have you kill anyone is she?”

Anders shakes his head and laughs. “She’s got people a lot better than me at taking care of those kinds of problems.” It’s not quite answering the question but as close as he’s willing to admit. If this is what he thinks it is… then he’ll be willing to do more than flatten a few tires. Anders glances down at his watch. He’s still got about ten minutes before the call comes through. He doesn’t want to risk calling Tori because he gets the feeling the conversation is going to go long. “I promise to keep you in the loop with what is going on. But I need you to promise to stay away. I’m not kidding about hitting the fan. I need to give that 110 percent and I know you’d be a big help. You have been in the past when mom has been dealing with a hurricane. But if you’re around then the press is around no matter how careful you and the guys are.”

“Without knowing what it is-- you want me to promise.”

“Yes.”

“But you promise to keep me in the loop?”

“Yes.”

Chandy nods. “I trust you. If you need me to keep everyone looking at the right hand rather than the left. Then I can do that.”

“Yes please.”
