Oh my god, the man just had life threatening/life altering surgery and you would have thought it was a simple out patient deal.
What about the woman who was "the first Spencer to make him feel like family"?
Or how about the sister who he gave bone marrow to?
Or how about the best friend of his ex-wife/fiancee and mother of his "nephew"?
Excuse me, but I think the party could have waited at least a day! The kid won't even remember it anyway!
And what about his Aunt- who I suppose HAD to work.
Or even his cousin?!!
No, don't worry about Nikolas, he's just having brain surgery!!!!
The story could have had so much more impact if someone, anyone, besides two nurses he barely knows had actually cared enough to actually be there waiting to see if he was going to live or die!

On the plus side, TC rocked, but even the dialogue between Emily and Nikolas was a repeat from two conversations they have already had!! Last Thursday was terrific, but today definitely left something to be desired.
