I watch for Sonny/Maurice. There are some others I enjoy mainly because of the acting like Tracy but it seems like now Tracy and Anna have better love lives than Sonny, Carly, Jason, and the other long time actors on the show.
Sonny is lucky to have found a woman who loves him but they spend much more time featuring the alter who hates him. Maybe they could buy into the fact that "funny, annoying, brazen, showy and tiresome is not what a lot of fans want constantly. If we are to endure so much of Connie on our screens, then her alter should be featured as well because Connie serves no purpose for Sonny except for those want to stick it to him or watch some perverse hate sex and its consequences. Just give Connie to Johnny, who it seems will forever skate and be around, and free Sonny.
Some say this will be a beautiful love story because Sonny is fighting for Kate. Great, let's find Kate then and give the Skate lovers something to enjoy besides a mouthy tramp.
Like you, I like Skate and it if comes back in an enjoyable form I will support it. But for now, I don't need constant sniping attacks between Sonny and Connie, move the man into a story of his own and deal with the DID. This is now beyond endurance point. Show us some signs of intent to heal or let Sonny move on.
It is wonderful to see Sonny written to stand by a mentally ill woman but the scale needs to be balanced. If all we get is Sonny being hated by Mouthy and no signs of Kate for those who hate watching Connie (not just because of Sonny but because the same wise cracking face making routine is getting very old) than this love story will have many losing interest. Some are already because Skate is not even being teased, just missing in action.
Sonny is a very attractive man. He does not have to beg for female attention. If he is in love and really wants to help this woman...then LET HIM. Kate being a no show today was a tremendous let down. Just more Connie putting Sonny down for everything that was NOT his fault. She "married" the guy whose family and himself were guilty, not Sonny.
