Instead of bringing over the OLTL Rejects, if they had brought on a couple Quartermaines and Cassadines (even new ones) and maybe a couple doctors/nurses, not gotten rid of Matt - IMO most viewers would have been happy.
Alexis could interact with the new Cassadines - maybe one of them could be a doctor. The Qs could have been revitalized. Liz could have been paired with Matt and Patrick could have had some family. They could have moved Sonny & Jason to focus more on their legitimate businesses. IMO they should have gotten rid of AZ, Johnny, Maggie, Steve and Heather. They could have repaired Luke & Tracy with him running a nightclub on The Haunted Star and focused on his relationship with Lulu. They could have brought back Deception and done some storylines of Crimson (Kate & Maxie) interacting with Deception. And IMO it would have cost less than hiring FH, ME, RH, KA, KDP, FL, and IB.
