Spinelli's contact at the MetroCourt calls him with news on Heather... she was seen coming out of Todd Manning's room. Sam asks him if Todd could be the person in Heather's car that the cop discribed. Spinelli says No because Todd is younger than the person the cop described, and that Todd has a recognizable facial scar and there was no mention of a scar in the cop's discription. Spinelli gets on the computer and does a quick background search for Todd...

Sam: What are you looking for?

Spinelli: A history of Todd Manning. (pauses to read the comptuer screen) It seems he's been involved in several violent incidents.

Sam: What?

Spinelli: Well, when he was still in college, he was convicted of rape.

Sam: Nice guy.

Spinelli: And most recently, he was charged with the murder of his twin brother but was found not guilty on grounds of insanity. Evidently, he has PTSD.

Sam: Which means Todd could be as crazy as Heather.

Spinelli: Yeah, but stable enough to run a media empire.

Sam: Which brings us back to the same question. What kind of business would someone like Todd be doing with Heather?

Spinelli: Well, if you're feeling up to the task -- what do you say we go find out?

(They then head over to the Metrocourt where they break into Todd's room. As Sam is inside the room searching, Todd arrives. In the hallway, Spinelli tries to distract Todd by asking to have a drink with him in the MC bar, to which Todd thinks Spinelli is asking him out. LOL)

Todd: Uh, never mind. I -- I, um... you know, I read one of the last stories that the Port Charles Press ran before I bought the paper, and it was about your soon-to-be-ex-husband, and I have never met Jason, but, you know, I do feel for the guy. You know, to -- to find out that you have a twin brother and that he's a complete psycho -- I mean, I wouldn't know anything about that, right? Um... Franco -- that's -- that's the name of -- of your baby's father, right?

Sam: Yeah. So?

Todd: So, crazy rapist, right? I mean, you know, maybe you are better off not having had his kid.

Sam: I am not better off without my child!

Todd: I'm just -- well, everything happens for a reason.

Sam: No, everything doesn't just happen for a reason. You know what? Maybe it wasn't a good idea to take this job after all.

Todd: I've offended you?

Sam: What do you mean, have you offended me? You know what, Mr. Manning? I read papers, too. And my baby's father isn't the only crazy rapist. So tell me -- do you think your kids would be better off dead because who their father is?
