to me 6 months ago that RC/FV were writing Jason off and had no interest in him as a character. They could have easily not had him reunite with Sam and just have him die in the Jerry's poison water storyline. That would have made sense. I saw no point in keeping SBu past his contract. There wasn't a need to have JaSam reunite with the kid IMO. Sam and McBain could have continued that storyline after Jason died easily. I'm wondering if higher ups than RC/FV made them do some stuff. That's happened before under other regimes where the EP has gotten overruled about firing an actor. As it is they started a romance with Sam and McBain and then reversed it to do JaSam again which didn't make sense and now I expect will go back to Sam & McBain.
What I'll never understand is if the HW/EP want to increase the ratings, why they treat the fans like ish and don't write for the characters that the fans want to see? I mean even if I hate a character, I get that if they have substantial fans that it makes sense to write for them and keep their fans. If you don't keep fans, your ratings don't go up. THat isn't that hard to get.
