I honestly think he will re-sign, they are probably trying to work around the movie and the December/January dark spells. He could surprise us but I think it is more about guaranteeing some decent time and story line that MAKES SENSE. this on again off again stuff during big story arcs is ridiculous. They have done a little better in the last two weeks.
There was a day when I would have been counting the days for Brenda to return but no more. If she was written the same way, I would rather keep him with Kate until he leaves or have him leave single so if he did come back, he could pick up on his own.
