I gotta admit to not feeling the same feeling of excitement that I've read about on the board.

I think because of the time since he last played AJ, SK is missing the emotional punch that I've come to expect from the character of Aj, but he's only been back a few days...he has to settle in the role.

His plea with Moronica today about how he feels about Michael fell flat to me, because there isn't a connection there. Would I have bought those same words from BW's Aj...yes. BW brought a vulnerability to Aj that wasn't present in SK's version of Aj. Oh and I hated how they had Moronica acting as if she gave a damn about Aj's well-being. This is the same woman who was more worried about Jason's feeling when Carly cheated on Aj with Sonny.

And I have to admit that SK looks...um, almost plastic. He reminds me of those actors who want to look like they did 20 years ago and it ain't working (Maurice Bernard is another one). Let yourself age gracefully and embrace it.

That's about it so far...I'm just not getting that "best ever" AJ vibe. Part of it has to do with the fact that BW was Aj longer than any other actor and he got to do all the emotional stuff that struck more of a chord with me. Still can't forget him in the hospital when he was detoxing, or his reaction to Robin when he was finally told the truth. The deep emontional beats, BW got to play out. Part of it is, I still see SK as Deacon. I didn't like Deason.

But I'm hoping with time SK will get into a comfortable groove with the character, right now they seem to be trying to hard.
