and promoted to lead female status without having to prove themselves first. They both came on as lying whores who used and manipulated. Not to mention that both characters were twisted until a storyline stuck with the audience.
I'm not Anna's biggest fan, but her storyline worked when she was first on GH. The whole DVX/WSB Robin stuff worked...at least for me.
As for Sam, they made some serious miscues with the character when they first brought her on. But I will say this, rarely does a soap bring over a leading lady from one soap and not have them be a leading lady on the new soap. That's the whole point of bringing them over...to be a lead character.
