intentionally watch her own work. I mean, I can see watching back a video of the tango just to make sure they don't look ridiculous or watching a brief clip someone tweets you being different than purposely recording the show and watching your scenes everyday.

Very few actors admit to watching the show or their own scenes. I think KMc is one of the few that occasionally comments on an episode she watched on GH on twitter, whether it's her scene or someone else's.
