Should have been that without the Stoli, Shonny, and Heather BS. That could have waited. More than Jason or Robin he was a core legacy character. RC showed no respect to the character.

GH ending with Edward & Lila walking up the stairs together into the light

The last scene wasn't a tribute but Edward and Lila was the best part of the tribute.

I thought both of those episodes taken together were extremely touching and appropriate, especially given the story of Edward and Lila's long marriage and the fact that, in real life, JI's health deteriorated so quickly after the death of his real life "Lila".

unnecessary scenes cut away from the touching.

I don't feel like I needed to see an actual funeral in order to honor and say goodbye to JI/EQ. But as always, that's just me.

I am sure some people were also pleased I am just not one of them.
