And the reason WHY Faith was determined to get even with Sonny was because Sonny had killed Faith's husband AND Faith's husband's brother!
So IF Sonny had NEVER murdered the Rosco brothers, Faith would NEVER have been determined to get even with Sonny - and would probably have never become involved in kidnapping the kids!
But it WAS FAith who was holding Morgan and Kristina. I can't remember when A.J. realized that Faith had also snatched Kristina and Morgan - but it seems to me that it was not until AFTER A.J. had spirited Michael away to an island. And, at that point, A.J. didn't want to risk revealing his hiding place, so he just kept quiet.
