The code of “leave the family out of it” went out the door a long time ago. Plenty of family members of mobsters are hurt. Bottom line is Sonny doesn’t care enough about his children (and the ones he kidnapped) to get out of the mob. He has no problem bringing danger into their lives. He has no problem putting his wants above their needs.
To say any child should be around Sonny is what is ridiculous. He's gotten kids kidnapped, shot, almost blown up, thrown in jail & raped. That's what happens when you are around Sonny.
