Jax was always going to leave town to save his brother - despite protests from Carly.
He couldn't just overlook Sonny and the danger he posted so he kept up with the investigation until the bitter end - despite protests from Carly.
He was going to remain friends/stay in business with Kate, confide in Alexis, help to save Skye and, most importantly, Brenda - despite demonstrations and psychogitc jealousy from Carly.
He was going to fight the bitter custody battle to the very end - despite what his cost him in terms of his family.
Yes, Jax forgave Carly for cheating and a host of lies. But she forgave him so some ish too. And I saw the love and vulnerability from both sides. I could still root for them. Go figure. Keep in mind I never said this was a healthy relationship.
Plus, I like that Carly never wavered from wanting to share custody/have Jax's influences on Morgan and Joss, and I appreciated when she railed against Sonny when she thought his actions went to far with the gun and the plane.
Hell, in the end, both were just stubborn. Carly was a bulldog beast about it, and Jax did his ish undercover/under the arm of the law.
