write a story for them, then I don't see an issue with getting rid of them early.

They've done it before. They fired GV, BH, BW very soon after they re-signed their contracts.

They can fire the actors any time they want, it's just a matter of the time they have to pay them. There's nothing to stop the actor from being fired though.
