How can I complain today when Southern Illinois got l8 inches and Springfield missed the storm by just a few miles! YESSSSS!

Okay I have that off my chest now. On to Sonny, the reason for these posts. Today we have Sonny cooking for the family. The only reason we get lucky at all is because it is still all about Michael and the "who is my favorite daddy routine". Promos seem to show a Sonny who is not out welcoming the New Year with the merry makers, he is somewhere stunned and looking afraid of what he hears or sees. So much for the Happy Holidays theme for our boy. We are back to miserable Sonny alone and getting some bad news.

We hear from pretty reliable sources that "Jason" may be heading for Y&R and greener pasters for SB. Gotta admire Maurice's loyalty to this show. He stayed put even though the writing for Sonny makes sucking on lemons look sweet. We hope there are better things ahead in 2013 for a very popular actor than what he is getting now.

Soon we get madcap mischief and tragedy combined from the Queen of Cartoons, Connie. Starr, Michael, Johnny, Todd, all part of that plan. One cannot get Sonny scenes these days without the clan from hell, above-mentioned, dragging the scenes down and forcing us to watch people we hate to watch.

I may have to miss today's show. Not sure when the final round of present opening is today since more folks arrived this morning. If I am here, I will do recaps before heading out again for what should be the windup of holiday over-eating and merry making.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday weekend and are ready for some more of this wonderful "stuff" GH is throwing at Sonny and his fans right now.

Hang in there and keep smiling, Sonny buddies.
