I wasn't expecting a nice X-mas for Sonny so at least we got something. Interesting "family" he has there but Ellie did not belong at all. I understand that Sonny probably invited Spinelli (because of Jason) but Ellie being there solo looked too awkward to watch.

SPOILERS ALERT:

I was beginning to like Trey so I guess if he's gone, then perhaps, Connie will be gone too. This slut needs to go pronto! Great year for Kelly but not so great year for Skate fans. Does that mean Trey dies and Kristina doesn't since I haven't heard anything about the actress leaving?
I guess Kate and Trey will never get to explore their relationship.

BRIGHT SPOTS: Shawn being Sonny's friend. He is there to support Sonny and he RESPECTS Sonny and Alexis co-parenting relationship. What more can I ask for for Sonny? Plus, both men in the boxing ring is not a bad sight. LOL

Alexis is more than a good friend... she thinks of Sonny's well being more than anyone else on the show. She warned Kristina about how her leaving will affect her father.

I loved NLG's reaction to Kristina/Trey. She's the only other female on that show that makes me smile aside from Tracy.

Sonny in tank tops and black T's and it's winter time!! Not bad for curing the holiday blues. LOL

Maurice gets to do what he loves on screen - boxing!!

Dante finally accepts who Sonny is and embraces him into his life and family!

Typical Daddy Sonny.. his reaction to Michael and wanting to protect him (as annoying as it can be is the core of who he is). His reaction to Kristina is likewise... Trey hasn't exactly been on Sonny's good side since he came to PC. Plus, what father would let his daughter leave with a man who he barely knows? Typical Sonny and heaven forbid he acts like a concerned father! How dare he!!!

RAMBLINGS:

They need to move Sonny into his own SL in the new year away from Connie and Ajerk Hell. Those SLs do not focus on Sonny and are not appealing to most Sonny fans. Give us something to root for besides Sonny having closer family ties. Not all of us like all of his kids LOL so give us MOBSTER Sonny where he can find out what happened to Bernie and Jason (along with new friend Shawn), or mentor Sonny in the boxing ring, restaurant enterpreneur Sonny and/or single, sexy Sonny.

Here's to having a glimmer of hope that Maurice resigning will finally give Maurice and Sonny fans a decent storyline for all of us to enjoy with longer screen time.
