Many fans of Maurice first, not couples fans first, are very ticked off right now. They are tired of being told to "be patient". This is Maurice Benard, who has played Sonny Corinthos faithfully on this show for 20 years, and being told to simply be patient and good little children is demeaning.
This is a huge fan base who is getting little from this show for the man they support and they are tired of watching Todd and Connie dominate their screens while fans of their favorite are told to be PATIENT. Delighted that a story is coming, but when so many fans watch specifically to support an actor they love, they deserve better, and so does he, than to stand in line behind actors brought over from another soap to get his turn on this show. Couples fans may live for the day when Connie will pat him on the head and accept him, but we want a SONNY driven story and are not focused solely on a story that still features KS instead of MB. I am just trying to call it like it is for many who do not post on line, browse or have practically given up.
I am not knocking KS in any way. I think she is a great actress and doing a find job but it is time to refocus the whole SKATE situation, even that playing field and and give Maurice a front burner story of his own.
I am happy that he is happy, and if he does want less time right now that is fine, but then WRITE decently for him when he is on, not the drivel and junk we are watching for him now.
