I posted this in replies to a post that I made yesterday but decided that it deserved a wider viewing.

Carly and AJ WERE friends back when she was with Tony Jones. True, they were not "in love", but they considered each other friends.

Carly hated what she was doing to AJ when she was doing it. If you only watch the last video, that might be enough to convince you that there was something between them. Carly cared about AJ but was trying to put the needs of the baby ahead of the needs of its parents.

True, things deteriorated from there, but once upon a time, Carly and AJ did care about each other and I think that GH needs to revisit that caring time and perhaps go with it. Yes, this will necessitate AJ maintaining his sobriety but it's time that Carly sees all that her actions did to destroy that man and how this time around, things could be different.
