I sympathize with that. I want Liz and Patrick and even Sonny to have good stories too. (Although, I do not miss the mobcentric days at all.) And that should be possible with the vets. Reviving the Nurses' Ball and finding Lucy Coe should have been Liz's story, not Sabrina's. And Patrick should have been involved with Anna and Robert, not Britt and Sabrina.
I just get frustrated when the vets I love get lumped together with the newbies and Livers. I get especially frustrated whenever the vets are described as "might as well be newbies" (i know, nobody said that here.) But you are right. There are no "original" characters on GH if original means they were there at the very beginning 50 years ago. But as you said, Patrick, Heather, Sonny, Anna, Liz, Lucy, regardless of which ones we personally like or hate, are all equally GH-created characters. That's all I'm saying.
