She's a high risk pregnancy to begin with, why would she risk her life for someone elses kid? I don't care how close they were.

I suppose it could have been a good story if Maxie wanted to do this for her friend, but it all seemed so contrived. And having sex 3 seconds after a miscarriage is just gross.
