for Maxie. Even with the medical unlikeliness of a woman who had a heart transplant becoming q surrogate, I liked the idea anyway for it's psychological and dramatic potential. To me, Maxie has always suffered from survivor's guilt. She lived and BJ didn't. And now she has survived her two "better" sisters, Georgie and Robin. Carrying Lante's baby for them was a way for her to use her body in a very giving, unselfish way to help give life to a baby that wouldn't survive if Lulu was carrying her/him. In a way, it would have been a very nice counterpart to Maxie's childhood heart transplant to save someone else's child with a part of her own body. And it would have been opportunity for real character growth for Maxie. It could have been such a good story.
But ITA that her immediate secret miscarriage followed by her immediately sleeping with and getting pregnant by Spinelli has completely ruined what could have been a great story.
