I read a comment on line that hit home and it was not even about our guy. Do fans allow pairings to take over their viewing habits? They felt the answer was yes. I think it is not necessarily so IF a favorite has another on going story line that they can support. That is our main problem with Sonny right now.

IF you don't like a pairing you can get through it if you get a balance that gives you another good story line to support. AJ vs Sonny? Weak, supports AJ's return, nothing for Sonny to do but threaten so far. That's not it. Positive reaction from Sonny fans yesterday to Sonny simply being able to have a meaningful conversation with Anna proves how hungry Sonny fans are for something more substantial for their favorite.

Some love her, but we can't make ourselves love a character we don't like as in Connie. Maybe in time that works but not this quickly. BUT give us some meat with our potatoes and we can digest the whole meal anyway. We are not getting that.

Some are delighted with Connie and Sonny. I am still amazed at the chemistry between Maurice and Kelly. That gets me through but it is not enough. Let's hope the new year, and perhaps the absence of OLTL air hogs, will allow GH regulars including Liz, Dante, Sonny and Patrick to get some worthwhile stories for a change.

Let's hang in there even if we are not Sonny and Connie fans and support our man. The alternative to a story line we don't like is possibly no soap at all and we are not wanting that. I know most of us want this show to succeed...but it needs to get a whole lot better.

If Connie can slay vampires, AJ can get rid of unwanted characters from other shows, maybe I can even learn to tolerate them! But for now we need Sonny to DRIVE a decent story for a change.

I have Sojourn today and have to do a few errands before my daughter arrives tomorrow but if I am around I will do recaps.
