We see them interacting. We see them talking about Dinah but I don't remember them
ever having a conversation about their daughter (Maureen wasn't it?) together since they've been back? And what about Holly's daughter with Fletcher who's the same age but has Downs? Or Dinah's child? The one that they wrote Vanessa and Matt off in the first place to help her take care of when she was in the nut house whatever became of that?
I can see Dinah's as being written off as a figmant of her imagination, but with them bringing the show to an end and bringing back old characters shouldn't they at least address some of this other generation that was created? I mean we got to see Danny and Michelle's kids (and why we didn't get to see interaction with the four of them and Ed I still don't get) but not these other two who major storylines were built around?
