As usual ABC doesn't get the importance of THE WOMEN.
ABC thought they could just bring over the men w/o their better halves and OLTL fans would just follow. Not getting or caring that most (not all) are invested ONLY in their pairings.
I love Todd but I have no interest in him w/o Blair. GH will only get my viewership when Blair arrives and I leave when she does.
IMO, if they had brought Jolie and T&B all together on to GH the ratings would have increased. I think they severely underestimated how many JohnFF and ToddFF there were.
ABC has always undervalued women which makes no sense since it's a medium for women. And what gets fans invested the most when it comes to soaps? Couples.
I think they are trying to rectify this mistake with Blair and T&B.
Unfortunately, it's a whole nother story with John. FV loved KeMo and ME on Port Charles and wanted to re-create that pairing for GH. Even worse for the Jolie fans was that McBam took off right away. Not sure why they had to trash John's character and make him a cheating deadbeat dad to have McBam especially since we all know JaSam will reunite eventually.
I still think Jolie will be endgame but will any Jolie fan actually give a damn at that point?
Question for Jolie fans - Right now is there anything that they can do to redeem John in your eyes?
