But I digress, I was speaking an acquaintance. I try to avoid talking politics in real life even if I know we share a political affiliation but it came up. She kept talking about wanting specifics and yet I can tell she holds very stereotyped views of each party. (She feels split between them based on those stereotypes.)
So I brought up Europe and how what the Republicans propose to do was used there and it killed their economy again. The irritating thing was she ignored me and said that it was the same here. There I was...presenting facts and without any knowledge, she just bought into the false equivalency.
So this is a voter who supposedly wants more information but tunes out that information when given to her. It was just frustrating.
Sorry, I'm such a bummer lately but I've never been one for skydiving.
