that he has to be careful that he has to walk a fine line. Do you know what would happen if Obama went out and came at Romney like Biden came at Ryan. Republicans would use it as a rallying cry for their base. Oh look at the uppity Black President desrespecting the White guy. They may not say it that way but they would dog and whistle their base on the idea that Obama is not staying in his place.
This is why it broke my heart to have to sit there and listen to Chris Mattews call him weak. He tries to be polite they say he is weak. He goes strong they will say he is uppity. I was watching MSNBC during the whole Meltdown and I know Al Sharpton gets it but he didnt go there. I'm not saying Obama shoud get a free pass on his performance what I am saying is MSNBC was way over the top as far as their critique. I just cannot look at this network the same way again and disillusioned by politics to the point where after Obama I dont think I would ever vote for aonther Black person as President. There is a double standard and its heartbreaking to see it I would rather continue to live with the fantasy that it doesnt happen.
The next debate I think Obama needs to find what works for him, he is a master at walking the fine line I just dont want him to be influence one iota by pundit chatter. He has good instincts he knew what work what wont work fro him and he can form a framework from that. Emulating Biden wlould be a mistake for Obama.
