to how their freak out drove the narrative of all of the post debate coverage. Their freak out had an impact beyond who watched them because it set the tone of how the debate was discussed throughout the media the following days and that in turn influenced more people than just a lackluster performance would have have.

If MSNBC responded with Romney won, Obama had an off night instead of OMG the sky is falling, Obama blew it, he is lazy, he just lost the election the rest of the supposedly neutral media would have been more tempered in their reporting. MSNBCs response drove the narrative of the last debate and that cannot be discounted.

And there is still my point that progressives need to stop being so afraid. Take the win tonight for what it is instead of it was a good night but it may not be enough. I didn't read any Romney people saying he had a good night a couple of weeks ago but it is not enough. They were happy and ran with it
