...factored into the spectacle that it became. Obama wasn't great in the first debate- but he wasn't horrible either, I'd actually say he did better than Romney did last night. The Democrats allowed the media reaction to overwhelm them by and large, and MSNBC fed into that. Now, I'm not saying they need to be as delusional as some Republicans, lol, who are pretending Romney swept this debate, but the reaction a lot of them had to the first debate was straight up ludicrous and really didn't help, and I hope that's a lesson learned for the next election.
That said, of course you're right that the media is an embarrassment and they spin things their own way for their own reasons. There is a reason I started out as a journalism major and am currently in a master's program for New Testament religious studies, lol. I became that disillusioned, that I transferred out of my program in a year and went to studying two thousand year old manuscripts.
