and then the abortion issue turned my Democratic, pro-union (Great Grandfather was Chief of Police and Great Uncle was Fire Chief) family Republican...and now they do nothing more than parrot Fox news.
I come from a LARGE family...but there is a huge Republican contingent. LOL I do like that most of my forty cousins are Democrats, though none of them were there today! But the aunts, uncles, parents, Grandmother...yeah, it's rough.
I do take solace in the fact that more Catholics are voting Democratic than Evangelicals. For the Catholics, I think it was 51-49 in favor of Democrats. So we haven't totally succumbed to the far right yet.
