and they'd rather blame an individual I think.
I do think Romney was a bad candidate. But I don't think that's what completely lost him the election.
I don't think the Republican base really liked him, and only grudgingly warmed up to him after he (or Obama depending on how one looks at that) surprised them in first debate.
Like you said the primaries dealt him a huge blow before they ever even got to the GE.
The Republican Party platform which took such hard right positions, alienated a lot of demographic groups.
