not calling them out on it)...Obama didn't get 9 million less votes than he did in 2008. I think he will get less than than he did in 2008, but it won't be 9 million less. Stop conflating the numbers of total and certified votes by Jan of 2009 with the votes we have two days after the election.
Among other states who haven't completely tabulated their votes,CA, WA, and OR still haven't counted all of their votes, OR and WA by a fair number and uh yeah, Obama is probably going to pick up a few there. FL hasn't counted all of it's votes, and as I understand it, the counties left to count are pretty Dem heavy.
And lastly the biggest drops in percentage of voting were where 9% of the country lives, which are NY, NJ and CT. And gee, what could possibly be going on that voting is not quite the top of their agenda? Hmmmm. And those states are heavily Blue, so that will also have a negative impact on the total numbers of voters.
So yes I know maths are hard for Repubs, but I really wish the MSM stopped sucking at it's job and started using actual facts against them.
Where is Nate Silver when you need him? Oh that's right, he's happily back in his world of crunching baseball numbers. Good for him, btw :)
Oh and it seems that not all Repubs are math and logic challenged --good for them! Here are some pretty numbers by a Republican! strategist
