to FL or wherever they were for a pointless debate with DeSatan.
And you know what he had on his desk? A DEVASTATING REPORT from our Legislative Analysts Office estimating we will have a $68 BILLION shortfall for the 7/1/24-6/30/25 budget.
It infuriates me that he basically fiddled while Rome burned.
The LAO also confirmed we had had a downturn in employment.
Like I said, CA residents are struggling to make ends meet, and a huge deficit of this size will mean not only cuts to programs they depend upon, but since so much government contracting goes to the private sector (ie construction companies, not for profits that serve older Californians and individuals with disabilities, etc.), people will lose their jobs or see their hours cut, which inevitably result in a further decline in revenues (see 2008-10 under Arnold) as they will have less money to spend.
He still has TWO years left and it feels like he's checked out. I'm just disgusted, and again, I am far from the only D who feels this way.
