Kinda like "Thanks for acknowledging that we're human; but that doesn't do as much as you think it does."

This is an "authorization" to do a general blessing and doesn't actually bless their relationship. That's still too much for some who don't even see the humanity in people, only their reasons for division between people. Reminds me of New Math, back in the day...I hated New Math. We spent the first half of the school year learning how to group into sets with no math functions so to speak.
