for you is: What should she have done? I think many (myself included) is over the "When they go low, we go high" mindset. Mind you, it's classy, appropriate, and professional. I'm just tired and over it. There are times when you have to stand up and fight fire with fire. The comment MTG made was an insult and uncalled for. I thought her clapback was masterful. It accomplished two things:
1. She showed the Comer's ineptness and inconsistency.
2. She delivered the clap back heard around the world.
Completely agree with all of this.
Is it the merch aspect that bothers you both? The clap back? Both?
The merch.
If I were Comer do you know what I would have done? I would have announced to MTG that she is now excused from the meeting and she can either leave voluntarily or she will be escorted out.
Ah, the good ol' days of civility when the rules applied to all, right? If MTG were not the GOP's #1 fundraiser/Trump mouthpiece, Comer may not be so threatened by her. Alas, she is, and Crockett's verbal response was brilliant since leadership was not going to handle the situation.
The merchandise bothers me. Even though MTG attacked Crockett's looks first, I don't like women β especially, politicians β attacking women's bodies, which is what the tee shirt does.
