I wish he had too, but the talks of an "open process" now are silly.

We have no possible process for voters to weigh in. There is no system set up to hold a national primary. We cannot do it. It's kind of embarrassing how long we take to do our elections and how hard it is for each state to get its **** together, but it's the reality of the situation. There's no way to set up a primary before the convention. So the only person who was on a ticket that got voted for at all is Harris. Meaning the ones who are griping about "open process" are mostly men in positions of power, because this "open process" certainly wouldn't include any voters.

It would have been preferable for Biden not to run so we could have a real primary, but as that is not the world we are in, it's time to come together behind Harris and get a good VP candidate, like Cooper or Beshear (can't lose Kelly's Senate seat, can't risk Brown on what is still a reach of a Presidential election, and Shapiro isn't as tested as Cooper or Beshear, although he's not a terrible choice if it goes that way).

Also, we need to relentlessly, unendingly goad Trump into a debate, which he is rapidly trying to back out of, because he will flame out spectacularly against Harris. If Trump has any true "beliefs" at all, it's racism and misogyny. He could not handle being on stage with Harris without losing his mind.
