Senator Kelly runs for re-election in 2028. Meanwhile, we have a Democratic governor who was the Secretary of State, so she knows how the voting system works. She would have to appoint someone to replace him if he became the VP.

I trust her judgment way more than I would have trusted her opponent's, Kari Lake.
