And I doubt President Biden could trust people to be good enough actors to present a public reaction to keep people riding along until the time he thought was right to announce that he was not going to run again. It had to be after the Republican National Convention to squash any momentum and to know what the VP would face as far as the Republic ticket and their plan, beyond the crazy 2025 crap.
