He said that FPOTUS Trump had been building support with Black men, but his attacks on VP Harris and the tactics he's using are making lots of Black men get into a protective stance around her.
That's not a direct quote, but it explains the essence of what he said. He said that for years...decades, over a century...Black men couldn't protect their women. They couldn't speak up/out to protect their women. They had to stand there and take it. Now, a rich white man is attacking a Black woman, and they don't have to take it.
His comments may lose the Black men who were on his side.
