Like he was manufactured straight out of the Democratic Ivy league politician factory. His Obama affectation didn't help mitigate that impression. Obama himself was very much in that vein; however, his innate coolness offset that quite a bit.

Same goes for VP Harris, who also is very much in that vein, but her exuberance and coolness offsets that quite a bit.

Someone similar to Shapiro is Secretary Buttigieg although he has an additional geeky earnestness that Shapiro does not possess.
