Before the debate, I saw a lot of comments saying that she is a good speaker but not a good debater. I think of what I saw last night as more preparation and strategy than completely scripted.
I realize she wasn’t reading a script, but every answer was carefully prepared beforehand, so in that way, yes, scripted.
I’m not sure why anyone would think she can’t debate. Prior to her Vice Presidency, she essentially made debate her life’s work. I did say that she sometimes flounders when speaking off the cuff, and she does. I should have known that she’d be ready for every possible question in this debate though. I know all politicians do it, but I was surprised that she ignored questions, which she did repeatedly.
And again, that’s fine. If Trump had done the prep, he could have held her feet to the fire for that but he didn’t. That’s on him. She did what she came to do and said what she planned to say.
