...it's already causing a sharp uptick in hate sentiment against Haitian immigrants in Ohio. There's been at least one bomb threat and multiple Haitians have reported being harassed and threatened. As absolutely bonkers as it sounds, as ridiculous as it sounds, as per usual, his moronic, racist, morally bankrupt base is listening to him. Haitian immigrants have been through absolute hell and they're just trying to survive here, and now they're being attacked over a fevered racist Trump fantasy.
It will never not be bleak to me, how many of my fellow Americans listen to Trump and follow him. There is absolutely nothing positive in his message. "Make America Great Again" isn't actually a positive message - it's a racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, anti-LGBT message thinly disguised as something positive. Trump has no positive attributes and he has no values. So to listen to him and follow him to this extent, all the ugliness in him must be what appeals to those people.
