First of all, "Jamaican" is a nationality, not a race. So folks need to stop saying "Kamala Harris is Black because her father is Jamaican!". Also, there are plenty of Indian people who are very dark-skinned, darker even than many Black people who trace their ancestry back to Africa. So folks need to stop saying "Kamala Harris is Black because her father is dark-skinned!".
Now back to reality...<g> what folks SHOULD be saying is "Kamala Harris is Black because that's how she identifies". Or "Kamala Harris is Black because her father identifies as Black" (in the article you linked, Donald Harris claims to be a "neegro"). And that should be the end of the discussion right there.
Personally, I would prefer people stop focusing on how Kamala Harris identifies and focus more on the good she would do for the country.
