how much our poll workers in NYC currently get paid, but a few years ago, when I did it, the pay was $250 a day on Election Day. Poll sites aren’t open quite as many hours for early voting as they are on Election Day so, I’m guessing that the pay on those days is a little less. I did it before we had early voting. We even got paid to attend a 5- hour training session. There’s nothing wrong with volunteering, of course. But that was a very long day of hard work for $250. It was a great experience though.
