Look at two recent examples - Fetterman and Sinema. They both promptly turned into absolute disasters, and made their voters feel betrayed because they weren't anything like they promised they would be.

I think you're right - that really isn't the key factor in this particular moment. We need a FIGHTER, not a groomer. But I also am not sure he's as good at that role as he thinks he is.
