American goods are easily slashed in half because they can't sell them. The alcohol remains off the shelf. Produce is pretty much left to rot and everything that is either grown, made or produced in Canada has a maple leaf on it.
I also know SO much about where things are specifically made. Like, Coca-Cola Canada licences its right to produce Coke from the American company but the bottling plants are in Canada. So people try to work out where that stands on the Don't Buy American ladder.
Fun fact -- All North American Nutella is made in Brantford, Ontario.
(Ferro Roche also isn't an American company)
People are hopeful that Trump will work better with Carney than he did with Trudeau (Carney does seem to have the election well in hand, currently) but the will to continue to exercise resistance through buying Canadian and not travelling to the US will likely continue.
