BLACK LIVES MATTER That means treat black folks the same way that you treat white folks.
You may have heard of white women referred to as "Karens." A BLACK woman can not act like a "Karen" when stopped by a police officer. A white woman stopped while driving a minivan CAN and has jumped out her vehicle, cussed out the police officer, hopped back into the vehicle and driven away with the police officer standing there shaking his head. A BLACK woman stopped has been pulled from the driver's seat, forced to the ground, faced down, while EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT, handcuffed and taken to the station. Same treatment? NO. Treat them the same, as if the...BLACK LIFE MATTERED. If you don't understand that being the MATTER that MATTERED, and you were part of the George Floyd protests, Trayvon Martin protests, Breanna Taylor protests, or any other protest about the arrest and/or DEATH of a black person, then you just got extra steps in, because you did not understand WHY you were there or WHAT the result wanted was.
I guess Black Lives Matter can pack up their stuff now because the WHITE women have also lost their protection and presumption of careful and considerate handling. I prefer equal protection instead of equal oppression, but it looks like we went the other way!
Until twelve year old WHITE boys are given the same instructions, "The Talk," about how to SURVIVE an interaction with police...miss me with these individual one offs.
