High levels of LEAD found in dental work imported from

China. And more and more dental work is done in China.

Just saw this on GMA, The government wants no more than 90 something per something for toys, but dental work from China has 490 something per something. (sorry, forget the ration info). And it's not on the inside of the caps or false teeth.

It's in the porcelain.

It's cheaper to make it that way.

But they said don't run to your dentist to ask where your caps came from. They are still studying and investigating.

You know, when I first started complaining about outsourcing of jobs I got a lot of support, but I also got some people calling me a protectionist, and saying it like it was a dirty word. Some said companies should make their goods by the least expensive ways possible and if that means going to another country, so be it.

Do you still feel the same way? Because those cheaper means apparently don't include the same safety standards/regulations we have here. How many stories have we heard in just the last year alone about unsafe products?
