As much as I loved the first ep of this season, I was kinda livid at what I considered to be an assassination of Sam's character. I agree--there's no way he would've just shrugged and moved on. But I'm trying to have a little faith here. We don't yet know what really happened in Sam's "normal year"--I'm speculating that last week's backwards Latinating is an example that Sam wasn't completely out of the life last year. I'm really, really hoping for a GOOD explanation for Sam's attitude this season and am willing to wait (at least half a season) for some explanations. Otherwise, we're just treading the same ground we trod in season one--Dean loves hunting and Sam wants a normal life.
